Some don’t believe in surrogacy. I can see that perspective. I’ve heard that surrogacy is similar to when God promised Abraham many children. He and Sarah were impatient and took matters into their own hands. They used Sarah’s servant Hagar to create a child before God’s timing.

But also; Mary. She was our first surrogate. Jesus was born of a surrogate. That is a powerful example of how being a surrogate is a blessing.

The joy coming to the mother who never thought she would have a child is beyond anything I can explain. She thought her time was gone. She thought she would never experience being called “mom” or experiencing all of life’s firsts. I am a part of that miracle? What a blessing God has allowed me to partake in.

I am grateful for this opportunity. I am leaning on God through it all. I am a vessel for a blessing. God’s power guides me through each step, every emotion, and each moment.

I am due in August. Let’s grow this baby!
